Pilates is our bread and butter. Since our opening, the century-old practice has formed the core of our mission to help clients support and improve their health and fitness. But that’s not all that we do. Here at SmartFit, we take a holistic approach to your wellbeing. It’s not just about aesthetics or fitting into that new outfit. REFORMER PILATES
Did you know the Reformer was created by Joseph Pilates during WWI as a way to rehabilitate soldiers and help them to regain their health? Today, millions of people around the world have found a passion for exercising in the same way - sculpting their bodies and supporting their health not just for today, but for the future too. The Reformer adds weight and resistance to traditional Pilates exercises via springs and pulleys, and has an almost endless repertoire of exercises, meaning there’s always a new challenge just around the corner.
Each of our Reformer classes will work your entire body with exercises that are specifically suited to your level. Tailoring each class more closely to helping you progress and improve ensures you get the most effective and enjoyable workout. Pilates is a journey, and we’re here to help you take the next step…

MAT PILATES
The traditional practice of Pilates took place on the mat, and was revolutionary in its use of combination of movement principles and mindfulness to improve body shape and health. More than a hundred years later, mat-based exercises using bodyweight (and/or light props) are still heralded around the world for their ability to improve overall fitness, posture, flexibility and core strength.
Today, most Pilates instructors agree that a truly well-rounded workout routine comes from taking classes on both the mat and reformer. If you’re brand new to Pilates, the mat is the best place to start, as it will help to encourage the mind/.body connection and build a strong foundation for the Reformer.

TRX
The TRX is a total-body workout and unique form of ‘resistance training’ that was created by the Navy Seals (US Special Forces). This popular, action-packed workout will challenge your strength, balance, flexibility, core stability and cardiovascular fitness, all at once, making it seriously effective when it comes to sculpting your physique and improving your fitness levels. As for circuits, this style of workout has been proven time and again as a great way to maximise your results in a short period of time.
