As sunny in personality as she is in name, Sunny is a Korean native from Seoul who has spent more than a decade helping clients to become their strongest, most flexible and healthiest selves.

Having lived and taught in four different international locations (Seoul, Toronto, India and Singapore), Sunny is well-versed in exercise methods from both the East (yoga) and West (Pilates, functional training). It’s thanks to this unique combination and over 13 years’ experience that she is able to incorporate both approaches into her sessions, ensuring that clients truly get the ‘best of both worlds’.

Not only is Sunny the one and only Certified MELT Instructor in Singapore, but she is also a Fully Certified STOTT PILATES® Instructor, Certified Zenga Mat & Equipment Instructor, Certified Total Barre Instructor, Yoga Instructor for IYTR (International Yoga Federation) and Certified TRX Instructor (TRX Functional Training, TRX Group Suspension Training, TRX Medicine Suspension Training)

I am passionate about teaching human movement and the mind-body connection. My primary goal is to help my clients develop an awareness of their bodies and learn how to manage them effectively. As a Pilates instructor, I focus on teaching my clients how to be mindful of their bodies, understanding how the human body moves, and applying this knowledge to optimize physical performance. This includes addressing pain management, enhancing enjoyment in sports activities, and improving daily living without discomfort. I also provide guidance on how to respond when pain arises.

FUN FACT: I studied acting at university and worked as an acting teacher before becoming a Pilates instructor. My interest in acting stemmed from a fascination with human behavior and how individuals express themselves differently based on their backgrounds and character traits. Teaching movement, such as Pilates and Yoga, feels very similar to teaching acting, as both disciplines require an understanding of the mind-body connection. I firmly believe that managing one’s life becomes more effective through the integration of mindful movement.
